Akhil Kumar Mittal

My office is at X 24 in the Civil Wings of Tis Hazari. If you have ever been to Tis Hazari, you know how it is. It is always crowded and there is a lot of rushing around in every corridor. I spend most of my day buried under files and legal papers. Akhil Kumar Mittal is the name on the door, but it is just a regular workspace where things get handled one by one. I have been in the Civil Wings for quite a while now. The noise from the hallways is constant, but you get used to it after a few months of working here. It is not the most modern office in the world, just some chairs, a big desk, and shelves full of folders that have not moved in years. I probably drink way too much tea during the day just to keep myself going. People come in with all sorts of problems and I just listen to them. Sometimes the weather makes the walk to X 24 a bit of a chore, especially when it is raining hard outside. There is a certain rhythm to life here in the courts. It is not like what you see on the television; it is mostly just a lot of reading and waiting. I try to stay organized, but sometimes the sheer amount of paperwork wins.
