Mehta Kulbhushan

Mehta Kulbhushan is based in Chamber Number 305 at the Tis Hazari Western Wing. If you have ever been to the courts here, you know how busy and chaotic it can get. The halls are always full of people rushing around with files and papers. Our chamber is just one of many, but we’ve made it our own over the years. It’s a small room, mostly filled with tall shelves of books and stacks of documents that seem to grow every week. There is a small table where we sit and talk to anyone who stops by. It’s not a polished corporate office. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high. But it’s where the work happens. We spend a lot of our time reading and writing, trying to keep up with everything. Most of the people we see are regulars or folks who were told to come see us by someone else. There isn't much for show here. It is just a place where we try to sort through problems and get things written down correctly. The coffee from the vendor downstairs is what keeps us going most afternoons. We just stay focused on the tasks on our desks and try to handle each thing as it comes. It can be a long day sometimes when the court is in session, but we keep the lights on until the work is finished properly.
