Jagdish Dhawan

I run my business from 5673/3 Kohlapur Road. It’s a busy street with lots of shops and people moving back and forth all day long. The building I’m in is older, and my space is just a simple room where I can handle my daily tasks. I’ve been here for a long time, so I’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. My name is Jagdish Dhawan, and I mostly deal with people one-on-one. There isn't a big sign or any flashing lights outside the door. People usually know me by word of mouth or through family friends. Inside, there’s a desk, a few chairs for visitors, and a lot of ledgers and notebooks. I still prefer writing things down rather than using a computer for everything I do. The noise from the traffic on Kohlapur Road is something you just get used to after a week or two. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the windows open, but it’s better than sitting in a sealed box all day. I don't have a big staff, usually just myself or maybe one other person helping out with the chores and errands. I start the day early and stay until the street lights come on. It’s not a complicated life. I just help folks with what they need, whether it’s some advice or a specific thing they are looking for. It’s a steady routine.
