Our office is tucked away at 5056/113 Sirkiwalan in the Hauz Qazi area. If you know Old Delhi, you know how these streets are. They are very narrow and always crowded with people, carts, and rickshaws. It can be a real headache to get anything large delivered here because the lanes just weren't built for modern vehicles. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the building shows its age. The walls are thick, and the stairs are a bit steep and uneven. It is a family thing, passed down through the years, so there is a lot of history in these rooms even if they look a bit cluttered. We have shelves piled high with all sorts of things, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what we are looking for. Hauz Qazi is a hub for trade, so there is always a lot of shouting and activity right outside the door. We usually have tea delivered from the stall around the corner a few times a day while we talk to people who drop in. It’s not a polished environment with glass doors or air conditioning that works perfectly. It’s more of a traditional setup where we sit amongst the stock and handle the paperwork on old wooden desks. We just try to keep up with the pace of the market and manage the daily load without too much fuss. Things can get hectic, but we just keep moving along.
