Jute 'N' Carpets

Our shop, Jute 'N' Carpets, is located at E-13 on Bunglow Road in Kamla Nagar. It’s a nice area with a lot of shops and people walking around in the evenings. We’ve got rugs and jute items piled up pretty high inside. Sometimes you have to move one stack to see what’s underneath it. It smells like natural fiber in here, which is something you get used to after a few days. We aren't a big chain store. We’re just a local spot where you can find something for your floor. Most of our customers are people who live nearby or students from the university area. We don't have fancy lighting to make things look better than they are. What you see is what you get. The floor is covered in samples and sometimes there’s a bit of dust because that’s just the nature of jute. We spend our time rolling and unrolling carpets for anyone who walks in. Kamla Nagar is a lively place to be, and Bunglow Road has its own character. We’ve been here long enough that we recognize the regulars who walk their dogs past our door. We don’t do big sales or use loud speakers to get attention. We just leave the door open when the weather is nice and wait for people to come in. It’s a quiet life, mostly, just surrounded by textures and patterns and the sounds of the street.
