G.S. Light

G.S. Light is located at 1749/6 Bhagirath Palace, which is probably one of the busiest markets you will ever see. If you have ever been to this area of Delhi, you know how the narrow lanes are packed with people and wires hanging everywhere. Our shop is small and filled from floor to ceiling with all kinds of lights. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone who isn't used to it. We have bulbs and fixtures tucked into every available corner. There is hardly enough room for three people to stand inside at once, so we often end up talking to people out in the hallway. It is a very old building and the stairs are a bit steep and uneven. We spend our days testing lights and boxing up orders for people who come from all over the country. The air is always a bit thick with dust and the smell of spicy food from the street vendors nearby. We don't have a computer system that tracks everything perfectly, so we rely a lot on our memory and the handwritten ledgers we keep on the main counter. It is chaotic and loud, with shouts from the loaders outside, but it is our daily life. We have been part of the Bhagirath Palace community for a long time and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office.
