P.G. Handicrafts

P.G. Handicrafts is located on the first floor at Plot No-3, 2654, right on Thana Road in Sadar Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know it’s probably the busiest place you’ll ever see. The streets are narrow and always packed with people and carts. Our shop is up a flight of stairs, which gets us a little bit away from the street level noise, but not much. It’s a small space, but we have it packed with all sorts of handicrafts. We spend our days unpacking new arrivals and sorting through things for customers. It’s a lot of manual work. We don’t have air conditioning or fancy displays. It’s just shelves and boxes everywhere. Thana Road is a landmark in itself, so people find us eventually. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen the market change. The stairs are a bit steep and the lighting could be better, but it’s where we spend our time. We deal with a lot of regular buyers who know exactly what they want. We don’t spend time on fancy talk. We just show the items and handle the sales. It’s a tired building but it works for what we do. Every day is a bit of a struggle with the crowds, but that’s just life in the heart of the market.
