Maa Durga Creations

You can find us in the heart of Chandni Chowk at Katra Neel. Our place is 601 on the first floor in Gali Ghanteshwar. Anyone who has been to Chandni Chowk knows how chaotic it can be with all the rickshaws and people everywhere. Our shop Maa Durga Creations is right in the middle of all that noise. We spend our days surrounded by colorful fabrics and the sound of people bargaining downstairs. Being on the first floor is a bit better because we are slightly away from the dust of the street. It is a very old building with narrow corridors and lots of wires hanging everywhere. We do a lot of work with traditional styles because that is what this market is known for. My family has been in this trade for generations and we just kept going with it. We drink a lot of tea from the vendor across the lane. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the gali very muddy but the business never stops. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling filled with stock. It is hard to reach the top ones without a ladder. We don't do any big advertising. We just open our doors and wait for the regulars to show up. It is a busy life but we wouldn't know what else to do with our time.
