Lajawab Handicrafts

Lajawab Handicrafts is located at 1586, Darib Kalan, right in the heart of Chandni Chowk. This is one of the oldest parts of the city and our shop fits right in with the traditional feel of the area. We have a lot of items made by hand and we keep them on old wooden shelves that have been here since we started. The lane outside is very narrow, and it is always full of people looking for a bargain. We spend most of our time answering questions and showing people the different things we have in stock. It is a busy life and we don't really have much time for anything else. The shop isn't very big, so things tend to get piled up on top of each other. We try to keep it organized but it is a constant battle. We don't have any fancy marketing or a corporate office. It is just us sitting on stools and waiting for the next person to walk through the door. Sometimes we have tea with the other shopkeepers in Darib Kalan while we wait for the crowd to thin out. The building is old and the floors are uneven, but it has a lot of soul. We are just regular people trying to sell some nice things in a place that has been around forever. We don't ask for much, just a steady day of work.
