Saran Overseas

Saran Overseas is tucked away in Damodar Bhavan, right in the middle of Chotta Bazar near Kashmere Gate. If you know the area, you know how crowded and busy it gets every single day. We are at number 746, and the place is usually packed with boxes and samples of things we are moving. We deal with a lot of different goods, mostly stuff that comes in from overseas or goes out to other markets. It is a small office, and we spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists. Chotta Bazar is a place where everyone is shouting and moving things, and we are just a part of that noise. My desk is covered in papers and export documents that never seem to go away. We do not have a fancy showroom for people to browse. Most of our business is done through old contacts and people we have known for decades. It is a bit dusty in the building, and the stairs are steep, but it is where we have always been. Sometimes we have tea with the other shopkeepers in Damodar Bhavan when business is slow. We do not try to be anything we are not; we are just traders making a living in the market. The location is great because of the proximity to the gate and the transport links. It is a hectic life, but we like the energy of the bazaar.
