K. K. Crafts

You can find K. K. Crafts over at 1074/3 in Katra Naya, which is right in the heart of Chandni Chowk. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded and lively it is at almost any time of day. Our shop is tucked away in one of those narrow lanes where there is always something happening. We deal with various crafts and handmade items. It is a bit of a maze getting here, but once you find us, we have all sorts of things packed onto the shelves and in the corners. The space is small, but we make the most of it by stacking things high up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and people looking for specific bits of craft work for their own projects. It’s dusty and noisy outside, but inside we just try to keep things moving. We’ve been part of this market for a long time now. It’s not a fancy showroom with air conditioning and soft lights. It is a real workplace where we handle goods every day. Sometimes we’re unloading heavy boxes in the morning, and other times we’re sitting with a cup of tea waiting for the next person to come in. We don't do much advertising at all. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they were already wandering through Katra Naya looking for something unique. It’s a busy life here in the Chowk.
