Our workshop is located at 356 Kucha Ghasi Ram on the second floor. Being in Chandni Chowk means you have to walk through some very narrow lanes to get to us. It’s always a bit of a squeeze when two people are trying to pass each other with bags. Once you get up to the second floor, it’s a bit more open, though we still have a lot of tools and benches taking up space. We focus on the craft side of things, so there is always the sound of metal being worked on. It’s a noisy place, and the ventilation isn't the best when it gets humid in the summer. We’ve been in this same spot for quite a few years now. We don't really have a fancy office for meetings; we usually just talk over the workbenches. Most of our days are spent looking through magnifiers and fixing small details. It’s slow work and you can’t really rush it if you want it to look right. We don't have a big sign outside, so you have to know which door to look for. People come to us because they know we’ve been doing this for a long time. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and send the finished pieces out when they are ready. It’s a decent way to make a living in the heart of the city.
