Jora International (India)

Our place is Jora International (India) and you can find us at 3682/43, right on the first floor in Shabbi Market. Mori Gate is always a bit of a scramble, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to unload their trucks at the same time. You have to navigate through the narrow lanes to get to our building. Once you get up the stairs, it’s a bit quieter than the street, but you can still hear the honking and the shouting from the market below. The office has big windows that let in some light, but they mostly look out onto other buildings. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. There is always a pot of water in the corner and someone usually has the radio playing low in the background. We handle a lot of the international side of things, so there's a lot of paperwork to keep track of. It feels like we are always filing something or checking a list. The air in Mori Gate feels heavy during the monsoon, and we have to be careful about the dampness getting into the old papers. It’s not a polished corporate office by any means. It’s just where we come to work and handle the day-to-day business. We know the neighbors and the tea seller knows exactly how we like our brew.
