Jay Dee Exports is run out of Hno 181 in Mandir Wali Gali. That is situated right in Azadpur Village, Delhi. The pin code is 110033 if you are trying to find us on a map. It is a very busy area with lots of trucks and movement all day long. We deal with shipping various goods out. It is mostly small items and products. We have been in Azadpur for a long while now. The street, Mandir Wali Gali, is quite narrow. It is always a bit of a squeeze getting things through. My family has lived in this village for several generations. This business is how we make our daily living. We don’t have a giant warehouse or anything like that. We just use the space we have at 181. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through wooden boxes. Exporting involves a lot of confusing paperwork. Sometimes the government rules change and we have to learn everything over again. It is not a very glamorous job. There is a lot of dust and noise around here most of the time. But we like the rhythm of the work. Delhi is a huge city, but Azadpur Village feels like its own little world. We know all the other shop owners and the guy at the tea stall. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out. We do our best with what we have. It’s just us doing our daily work. We don't have a big sign out front.
