J P Handicraft is located up on the first floor of Pratap Market. We are in the Jain Estate part of Sadar Bazar, specifically at units 123-125. If you have ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know it is always a bit of a mess with all the people, carts, and goods moving around constantly. However, once you get up to our floor, it feels a little different from the chaos downstairs. We deal with various kinds of handcrafted items. Our space is filled with a lot of boxes, raw materials, and finished pieces just sitting around on the shelves. We are not a fancy boutique or a high-end gallery. It is more of a working space where things get sorted, packed, and sent out to customers. We have been in this market for many years now. The walls could definitely use a fresh coat of paint, and the lighting is not always the best, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Our customers are mostly other traders or people who know the market layout well. They come up the stairs, look at what we have available, and we talk about the details. We do not have a glossy catalog or a website to show off. You just have to see what is sitting on the table on that particular day. The work is mostly manual, and it keeps us very busy from the morning until the market finally starts to close for the day.
