You can find us at Netaji Subash Place in the Best Plaza building. We are at number 115. Being in the District Centre means there are always people walking around, especially on the weekends when families are out. Our shop is a bit of a mix. We have musical instruments like sitars and harmoniums, but we also keep a lot of local handicrafts. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. I spend a lot of time tuning strings or dusting off the statues. People come in just to browse, and that’s fine. We like to chat about music or where the different crafts come from. It isn't a corporate store where everything is behind glass. You can touch things and try them out. Sometimes it gets a bit loud if someone is testing a drum while we are trying to talk to another customer. Wazirpur is a busy area, and the plaza has its own rhythm. We open up in the morning and stay until the mall starts to quiet down at night. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, and sometimes I feel like I'm constantly moving boxes around to find what someone is looking for. But it’s a good way to spend the day. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the instruments and the crafts well enough to help out.
