If you’ve ever walked down Asha Pali Road in Chandni Chowk, you might have passed our place. It’s number 2144. It’s a very old part of the city and the streets are always packed with people and carts. We’ve been here for a long time, selling and making different handcrafted items. The shop is small and stuffed with things from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit overwhelming for some, but we know where everything is. We source a lot of the goods from workers we’ve known for decades. It’s mostly wood, fabric, and small decorative pieces. We don’t have a website or any fancy marketing. People usually find us by walking past or hearing about us from someone else. It gets hot in the summer and the shop can feel a bit cramped when there are more than two or three customers inside. We just sit here, drink our tea, and talk to whoever comes in. Sometimes we spend the whole day just organizing the stock or dusting off the shelves. It’s a slow pace of life compared to the big malls. Handicraft Creations isn't trying to change the world. We just like the things we sell and we’ve been doing it at this same spot for as long as I can remember. It’s just a normal shop in a very busy, historical market. We hope the city doesn't change too much around us.
