Cottage Handicrafts

Cottage Handicrafts is found at 1533, Pahari Darziyan, in the Chitli Qabar area. This is a very old and crowded part of the city, full of narrow lanes and lots of history. Our shop is tucked away in one of these lanes. It is a small space, filled to the ceiling with various things we have collected and made over time. There is not much room to move around, but that is just the way it is in Chitli Qabar. We have been here for a long time, and the building itself shows its age. We don't have any fancy signs or modern decor. It is a very traditional setup. Most of our day is spent organizing the items and talking to the people who wander in. The area is always noisy with the sounds of the market and people shouting, but we find it quite lively. We don't use any complicated systems to run things. We keep our records in books and handle everything by hand. It’s a slower way of doing things compared to the rest of the world, but it works for us. Living and working in Pahari Darziyan means being part of a very tight community. Everyone knows everyone else. We are just one of the many small shops trying to do our work and get through the day. It’s a simple life at 1533, and we are quite content with how things are.
