Balaji Craft Udyog

We are located in Shalimar Bagh, specifically in the BK-15 West block. It’s a residential area mostly, but we have our small workshop set up here. It’s not a huge operation, just a few rooms where we do our craft work. You can usually hear the sound of the tools if you walk past our gate. We’ve lived in this neighborhood for years, so everyone knows us. We started this udyog because we wanted to do something on our own. We make various small craft items, mostly things people use in their homes or for gifts. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the materials and the finished pieces waiting to be picked up. My wife helps with the finishing touches and I handle the main production. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of local boys who come in for a few hours. The workspace is a bit messy with scraps and tools everywhere, but that’s how we work best. We don't really go out and look for big contracts. Most of our work comes from people who know us or through small shops nearby. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for when we have a deadline to meet. We just keep doing our work, day by day, and try to keep things moving along. It’s a simple business run from a small corner of Delhi.
