Aziz & Sons Button Wala

Our shop is called Aziz & Sons Button Wala. We are located at Office No-5804 in the Main Sadar Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know it’s one of the most crowded places you can find. The lanes are narrow and there are people everywhere carrying big bags of goods. Our shop is small and packed from floor to ceiling with buttons of every kind. We have plastic ones, wooden ones, and even metal ones. My father started this business many years ago, and my brothers and I just kept it going. We spend most of our day sitting on the floor sorting through boxes. It’s a lot of manual work and my knees often ache by the end of the day. We don’t have a computer system to track everything. We just know where the boxes are kept. Customers come in looking for a very specific shade of blue or a certain size, and we have to hunt for it. The noise from the street outside never stops. We have a tea seller who brings us chai in small glass cups twice a day. That’s usually the highlight of our afternoon. It’s a lot of counting and packing, but it’s what we’ve always done. We don't have a fancy website or any advertisements. People just know that Aziz & Sons is in the corner of the bazar. It is just a simple button shop.
