Amicale India Exports

Our office is over at 3441, L.M. Lane, which is off Qutab Road in the Sadar Bazar area. Anyone who has spent time in Sadar Bazar knows it is one of the most crowded places you can find. Amicale India Exports is right in the middle of all that chaos. Finding the building can be a bit of a challenge for people who aren't used to the narrow lanes around here. Inside, it’s a different world. We have stacks of boxes piled up almost to the ceiling, all ready for export. There is a small desk where we handle the shipping manifests and talk to the transporters. It’s usually pretty loud outside with all the rickshaws and people shouting, but we’ve learned to tune it out. We spend most of our time checking inventory and making sure everything is packed correctly. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting boxes and moving things around to make space. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few notes taped up. It’s a busy, functional spot where the focus is on getting goods moved from point A to point B. We usually take our lunch breaks sitting on the crates because there isn't much room for a proper break area. It gets quite hot in the summer, so we keep the ceiling fans running constantly.
