Our place is on D. N. Chatterjee Street in the Belghoria area of Kolkata. If you know the city, you know that this part of town is usually quite packed with people and traffic. We are located at 4/1, in a building that has been standing for a very long time. Inside, we handle various services for clients around the world, mostly doing the work over the phone or through the internet. It involves a lot of back-and-forth communication every day. The street outside can be quite loud with the sound of rickshaws, honking cars, and people talking. We don't have a big corporate banner or a shiny glass front on our office. It is just a regular workspace with people sitting at their desks getting through their tasks. We have been in this part of Kolkata for a good while now. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know the neighborhood and the local shops pretty well. The office can get a bit hot during the summer months, but we keep the fans going all day to stay comfortable. We deal with a lot of data and different administrative tasks. It is not always the most exciting work, but it is steady and keeps us busy. We don't have a big HR department or any fancy mission statements. We just show up and get through the work on our lists. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish.
