You can find us over at Durga Cottage in Salt Lake, specifically in Sector 1. It is a nice little spot in Kolkata, actually quite peaceful compared to the more crowded parts of the city. We have set up our office here to handle HR consulting work. Mostly we spend our days looking through resumes, talking to people about their careers, and trying to help companies find staff that actually fit what they are looking for. It is a lot of talking and a lot of emails. The building, EC 55, has a bit of a homey feel to it which we prefer over those cold glass towers. We have a small team and we usually eat lunch together when things aren't too crazy. The desks are always covered in sticky notes and printouts. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy theories; we just try to understand what a person needs and see if we can make a match. Salt Lake is a good place for us because it is easy for people to reach. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but that is just Kolkata for you. We keep things pretty low-key and just focus on the people who walk through our door or call us up. It is honest work and we like seeing someone get a job they actually wanted. That is pretty much the whole story of what happens here at Durga Cottage.
