Our office is at 10 Anna Kali Debi Lane in Dakshineswar, Kolkata. It is a quiet little lane, and you have to keep your eyes peeled to find us. We are not far from the famous temple, so the whole area has a specific kind of energy, especially on festival days. We do consulting work, which involves a lot of reading, writing, and talking on the phone to various people across the country. The office itself is quite old-fashioned. We have high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors that you do not see much anymore. It is a comfortable place to work, even if the air conditioning is a bit temperamental during the summer months. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to drown out the noise of the ceiling fans. We are not big on formalities here; most of us show up in casual clothes and just get to work. There is a lot of history in this part of Kolkata, and sometimes it feels like our building is a part of that. We do not have any flashy signs or high-tech gadgets everywhere. It is mostly just paper and pens and people trying to solve problems for our clients. We like the pace of life here in Dakshineswar. It is a bit slower than the city center, which gives us time to actually think about what we are doing.
