Our office is located at 3, Nazrul Sarani in the Italgacha area of Kolkata. It’s not too far from the airport, so we hear planes quite often. Job Accord has been here for a while, and we’ve become quite familiar with this part of town. We are basically a small group of people who help with job placements and related work. It’s a simple office on a street that gets pretty busy during the day. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a big lobby. We just have what we need to get the work done. People come in looking for work, and we do our best to point them in the right direction. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, but we’re used to it. We aren’t trying to sound like a huge multinational corporation. We’re just local folks trying to help other local folks. The building is older, and sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out and get back to work. We like the Italgacha area because it feels real and unpretentious. We don’t use any marketing tricks or big promises. We just look at the resumes and try to match them with what’s available. It’s a practical way to spend the day.
