Birla Corporation Ltd. has a place over at Gb 24 Narayantala West. This is in the Deshbondhunagar area of Kolkata, 700059. It’s a bit of a residential feel around here, which makes it a little quieter than the main city center. We operate out of this space mostly for administrative things and keeping track of what’s happening with the cement side of things. It’s not a huge skyscraper or anything like that. Just a standard Kolkata building where we have our desks set up. Getting here is easy enough if you know the P.O. Deshbondhunagar area. Sometimes the lanes are a bit narrow, but that’s just Kolkata for you. We don’t have a flashy sign or a big reception area. Most people who come by are here for specific meetings or to drop off documents. It’s a working environment, plain and simple. We spend our days on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. The neighborhood is friendly, and we like being tucked away from the main noise of the bigger industrial zones. We’ve been here for a bit now and the routine is pretty set. We don’t really bother with fancy talk about what we do. We are just a branch of the company doing our part in this corner of the city. We keep the office running and try to stay organized through the day.
