Ambuja Cements Ltd

Our spot is located on S.K. Deb Road in Patipukur. If you know this part of Kolkata, you know the area is always packed and the streets are never quiet. Being part of Ambuja Cements Ltd here means we are right in the middle of all the noise and heavy activity. The office space isn't anything special to look at. It is just a desk, a few plastic chairs, and a whole lot of ledgers. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sometimes just shouting over the sound of the traffic outside the door. It is a bit of a maze getting here sometimes with the narrow lanes, but we have been at 39 S.K. Deb Road long enough that everyone knows the way. We see a lot of different people—some are regulars who have been buying from us for years and others are new faces looking for advice on their small construction projects. We do not do much promotional stuff at all. The cement bags just sit there and we handle the distribution. Sometimes the heavy rain in Bengal slows everything down, and we end up sitting around talking about the local news while waiting for the sky to clear. It is a simple life for us. We make sure the bags stay dry and the customers get their orders eventually. There is no secret to it, just showing up and doing the work.
