Arati Enterprise

You can find Arati Enterprise over on B. T. Road in the Talpukur area of Khardah. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always something happening outside our door. We’ve been operating from this same building for a long time now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend most of our time focusing on the inventory and getting orders ready. It’s not a large operation, just a few rooms filled with boxes and a small counter where we talk to people. Sometimes the truck deliveries arrive late because of the traffic near the crossing, which can be a bit of a headache for us. We just make do and wait. My father started this business years ago, and I took over after I finished school. It’s honest work. We don't use any fancy gadgets, just a basic phone and a ledger for the accounts. The fans in the office make a clicking sound that we don't even notice anymore. On hot days, we usually keep the front shutters halfway down to keep the sun out. We have a tea stall nearby that brings us chai twice a day, which is the highlight of the morning. It’s a simple routine, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don't have any staff besides myself and one helper who comes in three times a week. We like keeping it small and manageable like this. It feels right for the neighborhood.
