Vatika Fast Food

Being in Sector 18 means there is always something going on outside the door of Vatika Fast Food. It’s a busy area, and people are usually in a rush to get somewhere else. We just try to keep up with them. The kitchen isn't very big, so we have to stay organized or everything becomes a mess. I usually get here early to check the supplies. If the onions aren't fresh or the gas is low, the whole day feels off. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop. We just keep serving what we have. People know us by the name Vatika, and they usually just point at what they want. It’s not the kind of place where you sit for hours. You grab your food and move on. The heat from the stoves makes the front area pretty warm, so we have a small fan that mostly just pushes the air around. We don't really have a fancy philosophy about food. We just make it because that is our job here in Sector 18. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and people crowd inside to stay dry. We don’t mind. It’s just part of running a small fast food joint. Most of the guys working here live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood thing.
