Grain Salt

Our shop is number 6, 7, and 8 in the Chauhan market over in Noida Sector 137. We’re right near the Paras Tierea apartments, so a lot of the people living there know us by now. It’s a local market, so it’s got that busy, slightly messy feel to it most of the time. We’ve got a few stalls knocked together to make enough space for everyone. It’s not a fancy place with velvet chairs or anything like that. We just have standard tables and chairs where you can sit down and eat. The market can get pretty loud in the evenings when everyone is out doing their grocery shopping or just walking around. We spend a lot of time just dealing with the daily stuff, like deliveries arriving or fixing a leaky tap in the back. It’s just how it goes when you run a business in a busy area like this. We aren't trying to be anything special or fancy. We just want to make sure the food is ready on time for the hungry people. A lot of the same people come by every day, and we’ve gotten to know their names and what they like. We keep the place open until quite late because that's when most people come home from their offices and don't want to cook. It’s a lot of work keeping the floors clean with all the dust from the road, but we stay on top of it. We just open up, do our jobs, and go home. It’s a simple life here in Sector 137.
