Wholesome Bite

Wholesome Bite is situated over in Satya Niketan, on the second floor of number 18. It is a lively neighborhood, mostly because of all the students from the nearby colleges who are always looking for something to eat. Our place isn't very large, and being on the second floor means we don't get as much walk-in traffic as the shops on the ground level, but people who know us find their way up eventually. The kitchen area takes up most of the room, and there is usually a lot of activity going on with people chopping things or packing up orders for the day. It gets a bit smoky sometimes when the ventilation isn't keeping up, so we usually keep the windows open to let in some air from the street. The furniture is a bit mismatched and the floor has some scuffs from moving heavy equipment around, but it feels like a real workspace. We don't have a big reception area or anything fancy because we prefer to focus on the food we are preparing. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big order to finish, and the street downstairs finally gets quiet. It is a simple operation run by a handful of people who just like to cook and get things out the door. We’ve been here for a bit now, and while the stairs can be a pain when you're carrying heavy bags of flour, we like the spot.
