Indian Wine Academy

The Indian Wine Academy is situated at A-458 in Defence Colony. It’s a nice, quiet residential neighborhood, which makes it a bit of a hidden gem for anyone wanting to learn about wine. The academy is set up inside a regular building, so it feels very welcoming and not at all like a stuffy classroom. We have shelves filled with bottles from all over, but they aren't there just for show; they are our primary teaching tools. We spend our days preparing for classes, washing glass after glass, and organizing tasting sessions. It’s not just about drinking; it’s about the history and the way things are made. We get all sorts of people coming through the doors—some who want to work in hotels and others who just want to know what they are ordering at a restaurant. There’s no dress code here, and we don't use fancy jargon if we can help it. We just talk about the grapes and the soil in plain English. The space is a bit lived-in, with some stains on the tablecloths and posters of vineyards on the walls. It’s a comfortable place where you can ask questions without feeling silly. We love being in Def Col because it’s easy for people to reach and has a relaxed vibe that fits what we do. It’s just a place for learning and sharing a bit of knowledge with neighbors and friends.
