Mohit Export is based right here in New Delhi. Being in the heart of the city means everything is fast and always a bit crowded no matter the time of day. Our office is tucked away in a corner, filled with various samples and piles of paperwork that never seem to go away no matter how much we file. We deal with exporting different goods, which mostly means we spend all day on the phone or checking emails from people all over. Delhi is a tough place to run a business sometimes because of the intense heat and the constant traffic, but it’s where all the action is. We started out very small, just a couple of us in a tiny room, and it hasn't changed all that much in terms of how we actually work. It’s still just us trying to make sure the shipments leave the warehouse on time. We don’t have a big polished lobby with a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by to visit, you’ll probably see boxes stacked up in every corner and someone arguing with a courier about a late pickup. It’s just how we operate. We source things from different places across the country and try to get them to where they need to go across the world. There’s a lot of back and forth, and sometimes things get stuck in customs for no reason, which is a real headache for everyone. We just take it one day at a time. It’s a busy, noisy life here in New Delhi.
