You can find us at Plot No-Y-2C in the Loha Mandi area of Naraina. It is a place where you really need to watch your step because there is steel everywhere. We are quite close to the State Bank of India, which is usually the easiest way to explain where we are to someone who hasn't visited before. Vijay Wire & Steel Company is basically just a big yard and a shed filled with rolls of wire and various steel rods. It is a very loud environment with the sound of metal clanging against metal all day long. We don't have an office with a fan or anything like that; we are usually out on the floor moving stock around. The air is thick with the smell of iron and the exhaust from the trucks that come to load up. Our hands are almost always stained with rust or grease. We deal with a lot of different people coming through, from builders to small hardware shop owners. We don't spend any time on fancy talk or marketing. We just weigh the steel, cut the wire to the right length, and help get it onto the back of the vehicles. It is hard on the back and the knees, but it is the work we have been doing for a long time now. Naraina is a gritty place, and our shop fits right in with the rest of the market.
