Our place is at C-117 in the Naraina Industrial Area, Phase-I. If you know the area, you know it’s always busy with tractors and small tempos. We’ve been working out of this unit for a long time. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of the machines and the smell of cut metal. We make profiles, and there’s always stacks of material waiting near the loading bay. The office is just a small cabin partitioned off with some glass so we can see what’s happening on the floor. It gets quite dusty, no matter how much we sweep. We have a small crew, mostly guys who have been with us for five or ten years. We eat lunch together in the back most days. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. Usually, I’ve got grease on my shirt by ten in the morning. We don't really do fancy meetings. Usually, someone just walks in from the street, asks if we can do a specific shape or size, and we look at the drawings right there. Sometimes the machines need fixing and everything stops for a day, which is frustrating, but that’s just part of running a factory in Naraina. We just keep our heads down and try to finish the batches we promised for the week. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till late evening. We have been part of this industrial phase for a very long time now.
