Unique Steels

Being over here in Loha Mandi, Naraina, you get used to the sound of metal hitting metal all day long. Unique Steels is located at X-66, right in the thick of the industrial area. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s where everything happens for the steel trade in this part of town. We spend most of our mornings unloading trucks and checking what arrived against what we actually ordered. Most of us have been working together for years, so we have a rhythm down. The office part of the building is small and mostly filled with stacks of paperwork and old ledgers. We aren't big on digital stuff yet, though we try to keep up when we have to. Most of the guys know us by name, and we know them. It’s the kind of place where a handshake still means something. We deal with all sorts of steel pieces, mostly structural stuff that goes into buildings or machinery. The floor is usually covered in scrap and dust, and there is always a smell of grease and iron in the air. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes of Naraina, which slows things down, but we just wait it out. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get through the day’s work and make sure the orders are right. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. We aren't for fancy talk, we just get the metal moving out.
