I am Tulsi and I do painting work around Sewa Nagar. My place is over at B-406, which is where I keep all my ladders, brushes, and tins of paint when I am not out at a job. I have been doing this for years, mostly learning by just getting my hands dirty on different walls. It’s a messy job, but someone has to do it. Usually, I am out of the house by seven to beat the heat or the traffic. I don’t have an office or anything like that, just my phone and the gear I carry. Most of my work comes from people in the neighborhood who tell their friends about me. I do inside walls, outside walls, and sometimes just small touch-ups if that’s what is needed. Some days the weather is bad and I can't do much, so I spend that time cleaning my brushes or picking up more supplies. It’s just me mostly, though I get help for the bigger houses. I try to be honest about how long a job will take, even if it’s not what people want to hear. Painting is more about the prep work than the actual color, honestly. Scraping off old flakes and filling holes takes up most of the morning. If you see someone covered in white dust near Sewa Nagar, that’s probably me. It’s hard work on the knees and back but it pays the bills.
