The Love Hotel

Being over here in the Saket District Centre means there is always something going on outside our doors. It’s a busy spot. People are always walking to the malls or heading to work in the big offices nearby. We just run this place called The Love Hotel. Some people think the name is funny, but we don't mind. The hallways are narrow and the lighting is a bit dim in the back. We spend a lot of time folding towels and checking if the air conditioning is actually cooling the rooms. It’s a lot of walking up and down. The front desk is small, just enough space for a computer and a bowl of those hard candies. On weekends, it gets really crowded in the square outside. We see all kinds of people coming in. Some stay for a night, others just need a few hours to rest. We don't have a big kitchen, so we usually tell people where to find good food in the market. The windows need cleaning pretty often because of the construction dust around Saket. It’s not a fancy resort or anything like that. Just a building with rooms and a staff that tries to remember which light switch goes to which floor. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and know the local guards well. They often stop by for a chat when the night is slow.
