The hotel is located at 7A/2 in the W.E.A. area, which is always busy no matter what time of day it is. If you walk out the front door, you’re right in the middle of everything. We have been operating here for a few years and the neighborhood has changed a lot, but our building stays the same. The rooms are a decent size for the city. We spend our mornings checking the laundry and making sure the water heaters are working properly because guests get annoyed if the water is cold. Our lobby isn't huge, so when a group arrives it gets crowded fast. Most of us who work here have been doing this for a long time. We know which tea stall nearby makes good chai and where you can get a quick repair for a bag or a shoe. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of our notes are still on paper in the desk drawer. It gets a bit noisy on the street during the day with the rickshaws and delivery vans, but by late night it finally settles down. We try to keep the place tidy and make sure everyone gets their keys without waiting too long. It’s a simple spot to stay if you need to be near the local markets or the metro station.
