The Kitchen Centre

We are set up in the Vikas Royal Arcade, specifically at Ug-3 on Road No. 44. It’s an okay building. People often come by while they’re out doing other errands in the area. We deal with kitchen stuff mostly. It can get crowded in the shop when we have a lot of stock out on the floor. We try to keep things where people can see them. Since we are in an arcade, there’s always someone walking past. It's a bit of a small space but we make it work. Most days it’s just us organizing the shelves or talking to someone about a stove or a sink. We’ve been in this unit for a while. You get to know the other shop owners around here too. Sometimes it’s quiet, other times it’s a bit of a rush. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. If someone needs something for their kitchen, they usually know what they're looking for. We just point them in the right direction. It's just how we make our living. We’ve seen a lot of different customers over the years. Some are setting up their first home and others are just replacing something old that finally broke. We just stay here and do our thing on Road 44. It’s a living. Nothing more, nothing less. We keep the doors open and see who comes in.
