Khushi Publications

We set up Khushi Publications over at 19-B in Sultanpur Colony. It’s right off MG Road, which makes it easy to find but also means there is always the sound of cars going by. The building is a simple one. We don't have a big fancy sign out front. Mostly, we are just busy inside getting things ready for print or sorting through the latest manuscripts. It gets pretty dusty with all the paper around. We try to keep it neat, but when a big shipment comes in, the boxes take over the whole hallway for a day or two. There are just a few of us working here. We don't have a receptionist or a big waiting area. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us at our desks or working the packing tape. Sultanpur Colony is a nice enough area, and being near MG Road is handy for deliveries. The office has a few windows that let in some light, which helps when we’re proofreading small text. We don’t really follow a strict corporate dress code or anything like that. It’s a practical environment. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down and we have to walk down the street to get some tea. That’s just how it goes here. We focus on getting the work done and making sure the books look right before they head out the door. It’s a lot of small steps.
