Himani Publishing House

Himani Publishing House operates out of Building Number 11099-A in Doriwalan, which is on East Park Road in Karol Bagh. We are quite close to the White Building, which is a good landmark because the lanes around here can get pretty confusing for anyone who doesn't live in the area. Our space is filled with the smell of ink and the sound of heavy machinery. Publishing isn't a quiet job, especially in a place like Karol Bagh where there is always noise from the street coming in through the windows. We handle a lot of different manuscripts and turn them into finished books. The floors are often covered in scraps of paper and the desks are buried under stacks of proofs that need checking. It’s a busy, somewhat chaotic environment, but we know where everything is. We don't have a lobby with fancy chairs; visitors usually just stand or pull up a spare stool if one is free. The heat in the summer can make the shop feel pretty small, but we just keep the coolers going and keep working. Being in East Park Road means we are in the middle of a lot of activity, which is good for business but makes for a long day. We aren't a giant company with a hundred employees. We are just a local team doing the work of putting words onto paper and getting them out to the people who want them.
