Daily Current Affair

Daily Current Affair is based over in Kirtinagar. It’s a small operation, really just a few of us in a modest office space trying to keep track of what’s happening in the world. Kirtinagar is known for its furniture markets, but we are tucked away doing something a bit different. Our desks are usually piled high with papers, and there’s always a news feed or a radio running in the background. It isn't a slick media house with glass walls. It’s more of a place where we sit and talk through the day's events over cups of tea. We spend a lot of time typing away and trying to make sense of the information coming in. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes, especially when a lot happens at once, but we've gotten used to the pace. We don't have a big team of editors or anything like that. It’s just us looking at the facts and putting them down as simply as we can. The neighborhood is busy, so there’s always noise from the street coming through the windows. We like the energy of the area, though. It keeps us awake. We don't try to be something we aren't; we are just people who are interested in the news and want to share it with others who might be looking for a quick update. It’s a simple job, but it keeps us busy from the morning until the sun goes down and the street lights come on.
