We are located up on the seventh floor of Tolstoy House, right in the middle of Connaught Place. It is a big, busy building, and being in office 702 gives us a bit of a view of the other rooftops and the sky. The elevator is usually pretty crowded in the mornings with everyone heading to their different offices. Connaught Place is a different world compared to the industrial areas; it is more about the paperwork and the meetings here. We have a lot of files and desks squeezed into our space. It feels a bit formal because of the location on Tolstoy Marg, but inside, we are just regular people dealing with steel orders and logistics all day. The air conditioning hums along to keep the Delhi heat out, which is a relief. We get a lot of mail and couriers coming through the door every hour. Lunch often means walking down to one of the stalls nearby or just eating at the desk if it happens to be a busy week. It is quiet inside our office compared to the traffic noise down below on the street. We spend hours on the computer and the phone, coordinating things between different sites. The office has been the same way for years with wooden desks and some old steel cabinets. It is not a flashy place, despite the fancy address. It is just where the administrative side of things happens.
