Mukesh Steel Traders

If you have ever been down to Loha Mandi in Naraina, you know how it is. It is loud and there are trucks everywhere blocking the lanes. We are at Shop No Z 66, which is basically in the middle of all that noise. Mukesh Steel Traders has been operating from this spot for a good bit of time now. We deal with steel all day, so my hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. There is a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff from one corner to the other. It is not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us are just in old clothes because of the grease and the metal dust that gets on everything. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people about loads and weights. Sometimes the traffic in Naraina is so bad that the trucks can't even get to the shop until late. We just wait it out. It is a basic setup with some racks for the steel and a small desk where we keep the ledger. We don't have a website or any of that stuff, just the physical shop where people come to talk business. It is hard work but it keeps us busy. The neighbors are all doing the same thing, so we all know each other around here. It is just the way the market works and we are fine with that. It gets cold in the winter and boiling in the summer, but we just get on with it.
