Mukand Udyog

Mukand Udyog is down in Shahdara, specifically at 26-A, Lane No 2 in the Friends Colony Industrial Area. This part of town is always buzzing with trucks and people moving things around. Being on G T Road makes it easy to find, but the lane itself can get crowded. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The workshop floor is where most of the activity happens. It’s loud, and there’s always the smell of metal and oil in the air. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone in greasy overalls first. The office is just a small room off to the side where we keep the ledger books and the telephone. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we have a few big industrial fans that keep the air moving. Most of the staff live nearby, so we’re all locals here. We know the other business owners on Lane No 2 pretty well. We share news or help each other out if a machine breaks down. It’s a tight-knit spot despite the grit and the noise. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we are here. The gate stays open from eight in the morning until the last job is finished. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. No one wears a suit here, that's for sure. It’s just the way things are done around here.
