Ispat Bhawan is where we are located, right there on Lodhi Road in New Delhi. It is a big place with lots of floors and even more people working inside. If you walk into our office, you will see rows of desks and people talking about steel and shipments all day long. This isn't a small shop; it's a huge operation that has been around for a long time. The building itself has that solid, older look that you see in government areas of Delhi. We spend our time looking at spreadsheets, talking on the phone, and making sure the steel goes where it is supposed to go. Outside, the New Delhi traffic is always moving, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. There are a lot of files and stacks of paper because that is just how things work here. We drink a lot of tea while we sit in meetings. It gets busy during the middle of the day and then things quiet down a bit towards the evening when people start heading home. We aren't trying to be flashy or anything. We just handle the steel business from this corner of the city. Everyone has their own job to do, whether it’s accounting or managing the big projects. It is a regular workplace with regular people who happen to deal with a lot of metal every single day.
