Krishna International

Krishna International is based at C 45 in the Wazipur Industrial Area. This part of town is known for its steel and metal work, so there is a constant humming and thumping sound coming from the nearby units. Our space is basically a large shed that we have converted into a workspace and a small office. The entrance is often blocked by trucks loading or unloading heavy crates, so we have to navigate around them every morning. Inside, it is quite functional with bright tube lights and rows of shelves. We don't have any fancy carpets or artwork; it is all about getting the work done. The office part is just a few desks separated by glass partitions that are usually covered in sticky notes. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the goods and making sure the paperwork for the taxes is correct. The heat in Wazipur during June is something else, and we usually have several fans going at once just to breathe. We have a small corner where we keep a microwave and a fridge for our snacks. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense kind of place. Most of us have worked here for years, so we know each other's habits well. We just focus on the daily tasks and try to avoid the massive traffic jams that happen every evening when everyone leaves the industrial area at once.
