Klassic Arts is located on the first floor at 96-D, right on Bank Street in Munirka. We are just across from the community centre, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. The stairs up to the shop are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. Inside, it usually smells like paint, wood shavings, and glue. We have been doing this for a long time. Our walls are covered with different types of frames and samples of work we have done over the years. It is not a shiny, modern gallery. It is more of a workshop where things actually get made. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting materials by hand. Sometimes our hands are covered in ink or charcoal by the end of the day. Munirka is a busy place, and Bank Street always has people moving around, but up here on the first floor, it stays a bit calmer. We get all sorts of people coming in—students from the nearby colleges, families wanting to frame an old photo, or local artists looking for specific supplies. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle these materials. We take our work seriously but we are pretty relaxed people. We just want to make sure that whatever someone brings us looks right when it leaves. It is honest work and we enjoy being part of the Munirka neighborhood. We stay busy enough without needing to shout about it.
