Our place is over at H-86 in Kirti Nagar. Most people know this part of Delhi for the massive furniture markets, but we’ve been here doing our fabric business for quite a while now. The building is a typical West Delhi industrial structure, nothing too special to look at from the outside and a bit worn down. Inside, we have our rolls of fabric stacked up in the warehouse area and a small corner partitioned off for the office work. It’s often a bit messy with scraps of cloth, plastic wrap, and packing materials lying around, but we have our own system and know where everything is. We spend most of the day dealing with various orders and talking to the people who come in looking for specific fabrics for their own furniture or projects. The traffic in Kirti Nagar is usually a complete nightmare, especially in the evenings when the big trucks are trying to load up in the narrow lanes. We’ve gotten used to the noise and the constant movement of workers. Our team is small, and we mostly just focus on getting the fabric measured, cut, and sent out to whoever needs it. It’s hard work, and the warehouse can get freezing in the winter and boiling in the peak of summer. We don't have any fancy showroom or air-conditioned lounge for guests. It's just a place where we do the work, keep the accounts, and try to make sure we don't run out of stock.
